Veterans Day Freebies 2016

November 11 is Veterans Day, so make sure you pass on this information to anyone you know who is a Veteran or Active Duty so they can snag a free deal and/or a free meal! All places require proof of military service, proof of service includes Military ID, Discharge Papers, DD214 and being in uniform. What proof of service required depends on the individual establishment.

Center for Civil and Human RightsThe Center offers discounted admission to both active duty military members and veterans with a valid veteran ID or DD-214 form. 

Georgia Aquarium –November 11 and 12, Georgia Aquarium will extend free admission to active and former military and veterans and a 30 percent discount for accompanying friends and family. As part of their Military Mondays program, there will be special events and activities from 11am – 2pm, check details here.

Georgia State Parks: all eight of Georgia’s State Park golf courses are offering free or discounted play to those active duty and military veterans, good Nov 11.

Great Clips: Great Clips is offering free haircuts to active military personnel and veterans.  Anyone may stop in on November 11 for a cut, and receive a free hair cut card to give to active military or a veteran – they just need to show ID in order to redeem by December 31, 2015.

Lowe’s – Lowe’s usual military discount of 10% off all merchandise is open to Veterans, Active Duty Military & their families. Every Day of the year.

Main Event Entertainment – veterans  bowl free 11/11. Open to 3 pm.

National Parks –   Free Entrance for everyone 11/11

Sam’s Club – Veterans and active duty military get a free $15 gift card when you enroll or renew you Sam’s Club card.

Stone Mountain Parkall military personnel, police, and corrections officers, firefighters, doctors, nurses and EMS personnel to Stone Mountain Park to receive an Adventure Pass for $20+tax, on November 12 or 13, 2016 when they show occupational identification at the ticket plaza.

World of Coca-Cola: Year-round FREE admission for all active duty and military veterans , as well as 50% off for friends and family when members present military ID.  Offer good November 3 – November 13.  Details here.  And find out more about Coca-Cola’s strong military commitment.

Zoo Atlanta, Atlanta, GA – free admission active duty, veterans, reserve and retired military. $4 off general admission for 4 guests. 11/11

Veterans Day Freebies 2016: Meals

Note: Unless otherwise noted, freebies are for active and retired military; some may extend to family, but you’ll want to double-check with your location first.

Applebee’s: Free meal for veterans and active military personnel. Available from open to close. Dine in only.

Bar Louie: From open to close on November 11, Bar Louie locations across the country will offer veterans and active military personnel a free meal up to a $12 value

Bob Evans: FREE meal, plus 10% discount to all veterans and active duty military from November 12 through December 31, 2016, for dine-in and carryout purchases.

Bonanza Steakhouse: From 4pm-close get a FREE Buffet meal.


Buffalo’s: a free meal upon presenting their Military ID for active military personnel and veterans

California Pizza Kitchen – For veterans get a pizza, full size salad, or pasta from thespecial Veterans Day Menu when you dine-in.

Chick-fil-a (participating Atlanta-area locations): invite military and their family to a participating Atlanta area Chick-fil-A restaurant on November 11, 2016 from 5-8pm to receive a free Chick-fil-A Meal.  One per person, per visit, while supplies last.

Chicken Salad Chick: free meal valued at $9 or $10 for all active and retired military

Chili’s : free meal for active and retired

Chipotle: BOGO from 3pm to close for military

Chop House –  free entrée and 25% off entrée(s) to their accompanied family. 11/11

Chuck E Cheese –  Free individual pizza for miltary. 11/11  (…but seriously??)

Cracker Barrel Old Country Store –  Free Double Chocolate Fudge Coca-Cola Cake dessert.

Denny’s: Get a free Build Your Own Grand Slam breakfast on Nov. 11 from 5 a.m.- noon.

Friendly’s: FREE breakfast, lunch or dinner.

Golden Corral: Military and Veterans can dine for FREE From 5pm-1opm, on Monday, November 14.

Gordon Biersch – free appetizer for military/veterans on 11/11.

Ihop: FREE stack of Red, White & Blue pancakes (buttermilk pancakes crowned with glazed strawberries, blueberry compote and whipped topping).  At some locations, the Red, White and Blue pancakes will be featured as part of a free combo plate including eggs, bacon and hashed browns.  Check with your location for details.

IKEA Cafe – free entrée for veterans 11/8 thru 11/11

Krystal: From 6 AM to 11 AM, free sausage biscuit.

LongHorn Steakhouse – free appetizers and dessert + 10% off check

Max & Erma’s – free 1/2 Cheeseburger, Endless Seasoned Fries, and a fountain drink on Veterans Day.

Menchie’s Frozen Yogurt –  Free six ounce frozen yogurt any time of day.  11/11.

Mimi’s Cafe – free entrée from a special all-day ‘Veterans Day’ menu  11/11

O’Charley’s  – veterans and active duty service members a free meal at any location on November 11th. Additionally, O’Charley’s offers a 10 percent military discount all year long.

Olive Garden  –  Free meal for Veterans and active duty military.

On the Boarder: Free combo meal for veterans on 11/11

Outback Steakhouse  – Free Bloomin’ Onion and beverage  for all active and retired military members
To show continued support for our troops beyond Veterans Day, Outback is also offering all Military Mates, including active or retired military members and their families, 15% off their check  for rest of 2016.

Perkins –  free Magnificent Seven for military on 11/11

Ponderosa Steakhouse  – Free buffet from 4pm – close. Beverage not included. Check your local Ponderosa for participation.

Red Lobster  – appetizer or dessert for military  11/11

Red Robin – Free burger and fries for  Veterans and active duty service members 11/11

Ruby Tuesday – Free appetizer or dessert for veterans on Veterans Day.

Shoney’s  – free All American Burger for military

Sizzler – Free lunch and beverage on Veterans Day until 4 p.m. for Veterans and active duty

Spaghetti Warehouse – EVERYONE can get a BOGO free meal with coupon.  Coupon for this will be on their website Nov 4.

Starbucks –  free tall (12 fl oz) hot brewed coffee.

Texas Roadhouse  – Free lunch for Veterans and active military, from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. on Veterans Day

TGI Friday’s – Free lunch for Veterans and active military, from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. on Veterans Day

Uncle Maddios Pizza –  free 9-inch, three-topping pizza  for Veterans and active-duty members  11/11

White Castle Hamburgers –  free breakfast combo or Castle combo meal  on 11/11
