Keurig recipes

I was recently given a Keurig K45 Elite to review, and was excited to share my opinions and findings with y’all.  In full disclosure, I am not a coffee drinker.  There.  The truth is out there.  However, I do LOVE a good cup of tea, and my kids can down a cup of hot chocolate faster than I could even type this sentence – so I thought trying out the Keurig was a good idea.  Also, my mother- and father-in-law were in town, and volunteered to try out the various coffees.

First, the Keurig is a great tool for folks who like variety, convenience, and quick service.  The Keurig system allows you to make a single cup within just a matter of minutes (or, like 90 seconds, give or take), while providing the flexibility of easily making other flavors, or tea, or hot chocolate with a simply snap of the k-cup.  So if you entertain, the Keurig and its k-cup system are a good way to offer your guests a variety of drink options.  And see all these snazzy recipes below, they’re so creative and delicious, they just may blow your mind!

The drawbacks?  Any Keurig system has a bit of built-in “waste”, with the individual k-cups, and packaging for these – more packaging than, say, a bag of coffee grounds.  However, you can purchase a k-cup reusable filter for under ten bucks, to lessen the environmental impact.

Additionally, the cost of those k-cups add up quickly.  It is, by far, much cheaper to brew a good ol’ fashioned pot of coffee at home.  But, it’s the k-cup is still cheaper than Starbucks.  If you like to drink a wide variety of coffee and teas, and if you only drink a single cup each day, than the Keurig system may be a good option.

Now, on to the good stuff: the recipes!  I have the privledge of networking with some amazing bloggers, who shared with me some equally ahhh-mazing recipes with which you can utilize your Keurig brewing system.
