Which stores double coupons?

which stores double coupons

Which stores double coupons these days?  In light of recent news at Kroger’s allegedly lowering prices and -more importantly- ending their double coupons as of 9-21-13, I felt compelled to create a list of stores around the southeast that still DO double coupons.  If there’s a store I left off, please let me know.  ūüôā

Publix
Update 1/2017: Sigh.  Publix no longer doubles coupons in Georgia.  You can still stack store and manufacture coupons, but they are no longer doubling coupons.  I am deeply saddened by this news and their explanation, but it is what it is…  First and foremost, Publix remains the most user-friendly grocery store around.  Hands down.  While they have acquired the reputation for being “too expensive” – I certainly do not find this to be the case.  While I wouldn’t buy non-sale items from there, their BOGOs and sales each week, along side double coupons stacked with store coupons simply make for exceptional deals!  You can read more about my hints and tricks for shopping at Publix.

Target

Although they do not double coupons, they do allow you to stack manufacture’s coupons with store coupons on top of Cartwheel discounts, as well as combine with awesome Shopkick and Ibotta deals.  In my opinion, it’s worth keeping Tar-zshay on your list!

Bi-Lo

Bi-Lo doubles up to 10 coupons per transaction per day, up to 60¬Ę when you use your Bi-Lo Bonuscard.  See their full policy here and locations here.

Ingles

Ingles has a tiered doubling policy.  Coupons 50¬Ę or less will double: $10 transactions will allow for 3 doubled coupons, $20 for 6 doubled coupons, $30 for 9 doubled coupons, and so forth.  You MUST have an Ingles Advantage card in order to benefit from doubled coupons. You can read their full coupon policy here and find a location here.

Piggly Wiggly

Piggly Wiggly will double coupons up to 99¬Ę, but only 10 coupons in one transaction per day per household.  Also only 4 “like” coupons allowed in one transaction.  For more on their policy, go here; find a location here.

Kmart

Kmart does not double every day, but on designated days.  They do not have a policy available online, but according to AllYou.com, Kmart doubles manufacture’s coupons to 99¬Ę on doubling days, up to 10 coupons per day, and only 4 like coupons.  Find your local Kmart store here — you may wish to verify your store’s specific policy.

Harris Teeter

Doubles up to 20 manufacture’s coupons per customer per household per day, up to 99¬Ę.  Up to three “like” coupons will double in a single transaction.  Read full coupon policy here, and find locations here.

Farm Fresh

With stores in North Carolina and Virginia, Farm Fresh does not appear to have their coupon policy posted online, but according to several frugal websites, I have gathered the following: doubles 99¬Ę everyday, but $1 on Wednesdays; up to 20 coupons per customer, per day; maximum of two “like” coupons per customer per day.  Find locations here.

Winn Dixie

In Alabama and Georgia Winn Dixie will double coupons up to 50¬Ę.  However, Florida locations do not double.

Publix In-Store Coupons PLUS A Lesson in Clearance – 9-16-12

**This post may contain affiliate links. I receive a small amount of compensation when you purchase from my links, which I"ll totally blow on waffle fries and sweet tea, y'all!**

I had a little (er, quite a bit) I time to kill this morning while I was getting my oil changed. (Note to self: Don’t ever attempt to do this task again on a Monday!) ¬†So I strapped my son in to the stroller and we walked over to Publix while we waited.

I found two good coupons on the shelves:

* Gatorade (buy 9, get 3 free) priced at $1 each, so they’d be $0.75 each after coupons

* the other for $1.00 off fruit WYB Fig Newtons.

I also noticed several items had a “clearance” tag on the shelf, but weren’t priced lower than their non-clearances counterparts. So just a word of caution, make sure it’s truly a “deal” — just because it says “clearance” doesn’t automatically mean the price had been lowered or that it’s a great price. ūüôā

Publix Tips & Tricks

**This post may contain affiliate links. I receive a small amount of compensation when you purchase from my links, which I"ll totally blow on waffle fries and sweet tea, y'all!**

Publix Tips and Tricks

Are you a Publix shopper? Remember these tricks to their BOGO* sales:

  1. You do NOT have to buy two of the BOGO items; they cut the price in half for each item.  This means that their BOGO sales will not result in free items, when matched with BOGO manufacture coupons.
  2. If you DO buy 2, you are allowed to use 2 coupons — one for each item.¬†
  3. Don’t forget, Publix will double coupons up to 50 cents, which can make for GREAT deals!¬†
  4. Publix has two sets of store coupon circulars they run, about every 2-3 weeks.  One is yellow and the other is green.  Always check their store coupons, to STACK with manufacture coupons.  Sometimes the BOGO items will match both a store coupon and a manufacture coupon.
  5. Publix accepts competitor’s coupons. ¬†(Competitors will vary by location, so check with your store first to see which coupons they accept.) ¬†You may stack a competitor’s coupon with a manufacture coupon.
  6. You may NOT, however, stack a Publix coupon with a competitor’s coupon.
  7. Finally,¬†their sales run Thursday through Wednesday**. ¬†Check out the Sunday Coupon Preview ahead of time to see if upcoming coupons can be used for that week’s sales! ¬†
*BOGO – Buy One, Get One [free]

** – In some areas, the sales run Wednesday through Tuesday — check with your local Publix if you’re not sure. ¬†It also specifies on the sales circulars in the papers.

Also, here is Publix’s coupon policy. ¬†I highly recommend you print this out, and keep with you when shopping there. ¬†Just in case. ¬†:o)

Publix accepts manufacturers’ coupons (limit one per item), Publix coupons (originals only‚ÄĒno copies), valid Internet coupons, and coupons from nearby competitors identified by each Publix store. (Competitor names are posted at each Publix store.) We will accept coupons from competing pharmacies for prescriptions only. We will not accept percent-off-items or percent-off-total-order coupons. We will only accept coupons for identical merchandise we sell. Acceptance is subject to any restrictions on the coupon, and we reserve the right to limit quantities. Manager approval is needed for individual coupons above $5.00. For a buy-one-get-one free (BOGO) offer, each item is considered a separate sale. We will accept a manufacturer‚Äôs coupon and either a Publix or a competitor coupon on the same item. Dollars-off-total-order coupons will be limited to one Publix and one competitor coupon per order. The order total must be equal to or greater than the total purchase requirements indicated on the coupon(s) presented.” ¬†–obtained from Publix website 3-19-12
