Y’all know by now I’m cheap, right??  I won’t even hide it anymore with colorful words like “resourceful” or “frugal” (although I’ll keep my name in tact, because “Atlanta’s Cheap Mom” just doesn’t conjure up the same image, ammiright?) – I’m just cheap.

With that being said, being cheap when I had diaper-aged kids meant I was constantly searching for diaper coupons and searching for the best diaper deals, so I could stock up on diapers.  Of course, this was before the influx of smartphone apps added another layer of savings to my money-saving mix.  Had I the help of iBotta to pair with my diaper coupons, well, that would’ve changed the game considerably!  Mothers today have it so easy!  😉 [Read more…]

Yes,  this is all about how I made money buying bread today.  Not a whole heck of a lot, but anytime you can make money, that’s a good thing, right?  🙂

First, you need to understand how my husband and I buy loaves of bread: on clearance.  Today, my husband found a loaf of bread for 59¢ at Kroger.  (Before you ask, yes, we always check the bread carefully to make sure it’s not moldy or anything…  And it either goes in the freezer or the fridge to help preserve it…)
