Where to Get Cheap Zyrtec

cheap zyrtecHow can you get cheap Zyrtec?  I am frequently asked about where to get the best deal on particular items.  And, between my husband and I, we seem to be allergic to absolutely everything!  Thus, we are year-round Zyrtec users.  As such, I’ve done my research, and continue to find the VERY best place to get cheap Zyrtec is at Costco.

They sell their store brand equivalent for $14.99 (sometimes on sale for $11.99, as illustrated below), with 365 pills in the bottle.  That comes out to about 4¢ a pill.  Bam!  Cheap Zyrtec!

Even if you snag the coupons that come out from time to time to grab free Zyrtec, you still pay taxes on the pre-coupon amount (in the state of Georgia), and you still have to spend the time and gas money to get there.  Also, it’s usually the 5-count trial size, so it’s not the best “green” option for year-round or long-term users.  All in all, buying once or twice a year, at this LOW price, is by far, the way to go!

For us, it works just as well as its name brand counter part, keeping itchy noses and watery eyes at bay.  So, if you’re a Zyrtec user, you may want to consider taking a trip to Costco and stocking up!

UPDATE 8/2015:
Apparently Sam’s Club caught wind of Costco’s rock-bottom prices, and stepped up. Just this week, I was able to snag a 400 count of store brand Zyrtec for $16.48 – which also works out to about 4¢ a pill.

Update 4/2017:
You can also now get CHEAP Flonase at Costco, too.  I got this five pack of their store brand equivalent for about $20.  The best I’ve seen on Flonase is $12 for a single bottle.  Anyone with seasonal allergies or year-long allergies will testify that Flonase is your first and best line of defense against allergies!  So this is an awesome deal – you just have to remember to USE that Flonase.  I keep mine by my toothbrush, to use in the morning after I brush my teeth.Cheap Zyrtec - Cheap Flonase

Now that I’ve told you about cheap Zyrtec, do YOU have any items you’ve found consistently at rock bottom prices?  If so, please share with me, and all my readers!  🙂

Make sure to “pin” this post, so you can share with your friends and to keep for later reference!

Buried Treasure Sensory Bin

**This post may contain affiliate links. I receive a small amount of compensation when you purchase from my links, which I"ll totally blow on waffle fries and sweet tea, y'all!**

All children, young and old, love the idea of hunting for treasure.  This week’s sensory bin plays on that fascination using colorful fake coins and necklaces.  The inspiration for this bin comes from a pirate party game by The Fickle Pickle, and the original post can be found here.

Buried Treasure Sensory Bin

Supplies needed:

Rice (uncooked, of course)

Play necklaces

Colorful pirate coins

Suction cup hooks (optional)

Tongs (optional)

Plastic bin

Tub for sorting

Buried Treasure Sensory Bin

Fill the bin about halfway with rice, then add in your necklaces and coins.  That is, if you can get your thrilled-to-death daughter off of the bag of rice.

Buried Treasure Sensory Bin

I chose to have the girls use tongs instead of their hands to dig around for treasure, as a way to work on their fine motor skills.  Using their hands works just as well. 🙂

Buried Treasure Sensory Bin

You can give them an additional bin or box at this point to put their found treasures in, or you can take it a step further and use the suction cup hooks for hanging necklaces.  I just stuck them to our sliding glass door at about eye level.

Buried Treasure Sensory Bin

I gave them simple directions to follow.  Use the tongs to get the treasure out of the box.  Then put the coins in the blue bin and hang the necklaces on the hooks.

They had a blast!

Buried Treasure Sensory Bin

As any parent of preschoolers will tell you, finding an activity that will keep them occupied for more than mere seconds can be a challenge.  Eva and Chooby actively played with their buried treasure bin for well over an hour, which gave me time to get some work done around my house and online.  This one is definitely a winner!

Almost all of the supplies for the buried treasure bin came from the Dollar Tree.  I had tongs at home already, but plastic ones can be found in the party/wedding supplies section of your local store, and obviously rice is pretty easy to get anywhere.  I spent a total of $7 on this bin, which was well worth it for the hours of play time it will provide in the future!

Do you have a sensory bin that your little ones really love?  Please share your ideas in the comment box below!

(Disclaimer: Be prepared for some rice on the floor.  I made it a point to remind them that if they spilled all of the rice, then their game would be over, so they tried really hard to keep it all in the bin.)

$1.00 Toddler PJs @ Wal-Mart

**This post may contain affiliate links. I receive a small amount of compensation when you purchase from my links, which I"ll totally blow on waffle fries and sweet tea, y'all!**

“One of a Kind” indeed —
can’t beat PJs for a buck!

I’ve mentioned my affection for all things cheap before, right?  ;o)  Here’s another great example of why I LOVE the clearance section.  Wal-Mart STILL has boxes and boxes and boxes of PJs for infants and toddlers (ranging from size 6 months through 4T or 5T) ON CLEARANCE for a buck.  Yep, one dollar, one smackaroo, one measly buck.

It’s rare to find girl-specific Curious George
items, but I found one!!

Please do keep in mind that the short-sleeve PJs are NOT on clearance — only the long-sleeve and onesies.  However, the various styles, characters, sizes, and gender-specifics make for a great treasure hunt, as well as great gifts for baby showers, toddler birthdays, Christmas (it’s never too early to start!), or even just to stock up for your little one, for later down the road.  I found these at the Chamblee location, but I’d be willing to venture that your store may still have them as well.  I found them right next to the regular boxed PJs in the infant/toddler clothing section, with only the nifty red clearance stickers affixed to give them away.

Have YOU found another steal of a deal lately??  Do share!

Cheap T-Shirts at Target

**This post may contain affiliate links. I receive a small amount of compensation when you purchase from my links, which I"ll totally blow on waffle fries and sweet tea, y'all!**

What do the birds say when they fly over the clothing department at Target?

(…..wait for it……)

“Cheap!  Cheap!  Cheap!”

(You can thank my cousin for telling a similar joke to me about 25 years ago.)

But on to the deals:  When I went perusing through the clearance racks at my local Target yesterday, I saw a LOAD of cute, simple t-shirts for $2 each.  They came in an assortment of pastel-ish hues, were “slightly fitted”, and were v-necked.  I think they were intended to hit just above the hip.  However, on my five-foot frame, they came well past.

There were also plenty of other items for under five bucks: capri-type sweat pants, a mish-mash of bathing suit tops (and bottoms?  …somewhere?), a swimsuit cover/dress, really comfy running shorts (argh! if only they had pockets!), and so forth.

Bonus for skinny folks: there was an abundance of colors and selection in the XS size on clearance!  The me from 10 years ago would have been pumped — oh, where’s that DeLorean when you need it!!

On a completely unrelated matter, my sunglasses of so many years are finally kaput.  Not even superglue could bring them back to life.  :o(  In any case, I am now on the hunt for some (cheap) sunglasses.  Until then, I’ll be wearing my husband’s “pilot” sunglasses, or my spare pair, if I can find them.   But if you know where I can get a good pair for under $5, do share!  :o)
