Benefiber CouponDisclosure: this is a sponsored post by Savings.com to share with y’all a great Benefiber coupon.  However, all opinions, anecdotes, and off-color comedy are all my own.

And now my I’m-not-a-doctor disclosure: Please please please please please please keep in mind I am not a doctor.  Heck, I didn’t even enjoy science until adulthood.  So, if you are experiencing any medical issues, please please please -for the love of sweet tea- please talk to your doctor before starting any sort of medically-related program.

This week, my daughter started 2nd grade, which is not totally unlike that time she started Kindergarten, and I felt like I was just trying to stay afloat, getting back in the swing of things.  Typically, I feel like I’m flung in to a swirly chaos for a few days, trying to (re)adjust to a new routine.  During these times of change and transition, I find it super-helpful to keep my routines and habits as intact as possible.  My daily dose of fiber is no exception.

You see, in my early 20s, my stomach was in shambles.  Predictably unpredictable stomach issues plagued me, and greatly interfered with my ability to function on a day to day basis.  Nope, I am not kidding nor exaggerating.  However, amidst all this chaos, a friend gave me the very best advice ever: add fiber to your diet.  So, off I went to the pharmacy and started inquiring about the best fiber to use on a daily basis.  Without hesitation, the pharmacist lead me down the “tummy isle” and handed me my very first bottle of Benefiber.

I was immediately impressed by its lack of flavor, as well as how easily it dissolved.  After a few days of starting a fiber regimen (I mix it in with my orange juice in the morning), I started to notice a remarkable difference in my stomach issues.  Granted, there were some other things going on in there (and I won’t burden y’all with the details.  Trust me: TMI), but adding Benefiber was a great first step to getting things back under control.

Although almost 15 years later, my stomach issues are much more mild than they once were, I still stick to my daily fiber regimen.  Being frugal, I also have tested out other fiber brands, just to see how they may measure up and to see if I could get by with a cheaper brand.  Y’all know, I keep tabs on coupons for Benefiber and coupons for related fiber products – but I’ve now learned to only concern myself with stocking up on Benefiber coupons.  It’s been almost 15 years, and I keep coming back to Benefiber.

Actually, nope.  That’s not true.  I stopped testing other brands after a few years.  They either have an aftertaste for which I don’t care, or they just don’t seem to do the job.  Period.

So here I am, Benefiber strong for 15 years.  I will also tell you, particularly when I’m traveling and I forget to bring it with me, or on those occassions where I’ve run out and have yet to make it to the grocery store, I definitely notice when I haven’t taken my Benefiber.  It’s not unlike my allergy meds: I don’t notice them working when I take them, but my nose and my watery eyes and scratchy throat certainly notice when I don’t take them!

Having said all that, I can honestly say, Benefiber is a product I believe in.  It’s a product I use every day.  It’s also a product I would recommend for anyone needing a little help in regulating your tummy.
