What goes up must come down.  And in the days of cheap gas, what goes down, must come back up, right?  Argh, while we enjoyed gas prices hovering right under two bucks, it was inevitably fleeting. But no matter what the price of gas is, I am really enjoying reaping the benefits of Kroger’s fuel points rewards program.

A friend of mine recently posted his big savings on Facebook, during the low gas prices in the hay days, a few weeks ago.  99¢ a gallon = SWEET, right?!

Ways to Save BIG on Gas at Kroger

  • Use your Kroger card every. single. time.  Period.  Simply put, if you don’t scan that card or input your alternate id each time you shop at Kroger, you’re losing out.  Each dollar spent on your Kroger card goes toward your fuel points rewards.  For each $100 spent each month, you can get an additional 10¢ off per gallon.  Remember: whenever you use your Kroger card at the Kroger gas pumps, you automatically get 3¢ off per gallon.

RAYS-is-10

So my blogiversary won’t be until August, and then it will be my 5th year.  Five years of blogging, and I still feel like my learning curve is steep, yet also feel like I’ve learned tons in the process – not just about blogging, but about the world around me in general.  Yep, I’ve come a LONG way in five years, that’s for sure.

What you may not know is, I’ve built websites for years and years.  Dinky little “about me” sites hosted on UGA’s FTP juices, but websites nonetheless.  Let me speak old-school geek with you for just a bit, and to give you some perspective: the first website I ever created was my freshman year at Georgia, for an EdTech class, circa 1998/1999.  The instructor taught us how to use Netscape Composer.  Yep.  And then, my senior year, I needed to take a 1 hour credit course, for insurance purposes – and found a tech/computer class.  (Honestly, I cannot recall what the actual class was called, nor what it’s intent truly was.)  But that was the class were I learned HTML coding, which, to this day, is still quite helpful.  And I still have my raggedy, dog-eared handout chock-full of HTML goodness.

I digress.

My friend Krystyn, over at Really Are You Serious, has been at it for ten years.  That’s twice as long as I’ve been blogging.  She also has twice as many kids as I do.  She wins.  🙂  Not only do I enjoy her wit and humor, but I can’t help but feel akin to other non-reheads who parent redheads.  To celebrate her ten year blogiversary, she is offering YOU a chance to win some ahh-mazing swag.  One lucky winner will get: a Google Nexus 7 Tablet, a case, $25 to Google Play, a cute Minnie and Mickey Mouse wristlet and a copy of Best of Me on BluRay/DVD.  It’s simple, just fill out the form below, and you’re entered!

Good luck, y’all!
